Tae Kwon Do

Course Description

Enjoy discovering the various levels of this Korean martial art that emphasizes punching & kicking techniques. NO Eastern religion is promoted in this class. Meditation is replaced with prayer and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Here at Arts Alive, our instructor teaches children and adults from beginner to Black Belt. A student who is promoted to the rank of Black Belt in approximately 4 years has advanced at a strong, steady pace.

Arts Alive students will be encouraged to:

Learn a variety of kicking, striking, and blocking techniques

Develop balance, speed, timing, power, and control

Develop self-discipline and mental readiness

Learn techniques for avoiding potentially dangerous situations, as well as training in what to do when avoidance is impossible and conflict is inevitable

Demonstrate knowledge and application of acquired skills during periodic tests, for potential promotion to the next belt color (gup rank)
